Big-D Companies Raise $45K for American Heart Association During Annual Week of Giving

As our Week of Giving has officially come to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible efforts made by the Big-D team and celebrate the difference we’ve made together. Your generosity and commitment to supporting the American Heart Association have been truly inspiring.

We are thrilled to announce that we raised an impressive $25,925.79, surpassing our original goal of $20,000! Even more exciting, Big-D Companies has matched the amount raised up to $20,000, bringing our grand total to $45,925.79. This incredible achievement shows the power of our combined efforts and our dedication to supporting heart health. Every dollar raised will go directly toward funding life-saving research and community initiatives through the American Heart Association.

Over the course of last week, we saw amazing participation from employees across all business units, with more than 150 individuals taking part in walks and other activities to raise awareness for heart health. Each step taken and every donation made has helped us create a lasting impact.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to every employee who contributed, whether by walking, donating, or spreading awareness. Special recognition goes out to the following business units for their outstanding contributions:

  • Martin-Harris Construction ($4,609.56)
  • Big-D Salt Lake City Office ($2,966.43)
  • Big-D Mission Critical ($2,703.97)
  • Big-D Logistics ($2,008.80)
  • CFC Construction ($1,754.80)

Throughout the week, we saw some inspiring moments that truly captured the heart of our campaign. Big-D Signature Park City partnered with UDOT for a walk and highway cleanup, and Big-D Logistics donated canned goods to Feeding America. These are just a few of the many highlights from this weekend.

“Big-D Companies has always been a strong advocate for employee wellness, and their partnership with the American Heart Association truly reflects that commitment,” said JaNeal Shaw, Idaho Falls Project and Business Development Administrator. “The walks were a great reminder that healthy living is about more than just daily exercise. It’s about fostering healthy relationships, making smart nutritional choices, and building habits that support overall well-being.”

This past week was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together. Thank you once again to everyone who participated and made this campaign such a success. The impact we’ve made will ripple out into our communities, helping improve lives and raise awareness for heart health.

Let’s continue this spirit of giving as we look forward to future opportunities to make a difference together!
